How we handle your information
Last updated October 26, 2026
What we collect
When you request membership information on our Community page, we collect:
- Your full name, email address, and mobile number.
- Your self-reported answers to two questions: whether you hold a valid, active Hawaiʻi 329 card, and whether you live on Oʻahu. These answers are not verified and are not a membership decision.
- Your consent to email follow-up, including the exact consent wording you agreed to and when.
- How you found us, when available: the referring website and campaign tags in the link you used (for example “utm_source=instagram”).
- Basic technical information used only to prevent spam and duplicate submissions: a one-way scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address and your browser type.
We do not ask for, and you should not send, card images, card numbers, diagnoses, or medical records through this form.
Members area and card verification
To join the members area, you text a photo of your 329 card to Aloha Cultivation’s phone, with your grow site address, registration number, and date of birth covered — or show the card on a short video call. We look only at your name and expiration date to confirm the card is active, then record only that you’re verified and your card’s expiration date. Card photos are never uploaded to or stored on this website. Your members access ends when the card on file expires, and you can ask us to delete your card photo from our phone at any time.
Your personal members link sets a small cookie on your device so you stay signed in to the members area.
How we use it
- To reply to your inquiry and email you information about the Aloha Cultivation community, as you agreed.
- To text you your members link after your card is verified, in reply to your text.
- To keep a private record of who has asked so we can follow up.
We don’t sell your information, and we don’t share your qualification answers with advertising or analytics services.
Where it’s stored
Inquiries are stored in a private database on Cloudflare, the service that hosts this website, and a notification copy is sent to the Aloha Cultivation Gmail inbox. Only Aloha Cultivation can access these records; there is no public list of inquiries.
Your choices
- You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time by replying “unsubscribe” or emailing alohacultivation@gmail.com.
- You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the information we hold about you by emailing the same address.
